Job Title

Registered Nurse – Cardiac Mechanical Support Coordinator (CVICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (5x8 Hours, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) | On-call requirement: 1 weekend per month and 1 weekday of call

Key Responsibilities

• Round on both inpatient and outpatient individuals receiving advanced cardiac mechanical support
• Service and troubleshoot mechanical circulatory support (MCS) devices in both inpatient and clinic settings
• Function as a subject matter expert (SME) for durable and temporary MCS devices including HM3, Heartware, BrioVAD, IABP, and Impella
• Manage and monitor advanced heart failure patients across care settings
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with durable MCS devices (HM3, Heartware, BrioVAD), IABP, and Impella
• Strong cardiac background with comfort independently managing MCS devices

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience managing advanced heart failure patients
• Prior experience as a VAD Coordinator
• Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU) experience
