About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year required License: Compact or state license required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical unit. Preferred experience in an academic medical center. Candidates must have a patient ratio experience of 1:5. Previous charge experience is required. Description: This is an acute, non-telemetry medical-surgical unit. The patient ratio is 1:5. All contracts will require Basic Life Support certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is preferred. Experience in an acute care medical-surgical setting is necessary. Candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Compliance with isolation precautions and the use of personal protective equipment is essential. Charting will be conducted using the hospital's specific system. No telemetry or EKG testing is required for this position. Candidates must be prepared for a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Candidates will be expected to complete modules and adhere to annual training requirements.
