HR Generalist

BelPak is seeking an HR Generalist to support our Mississauga, Brampton, and Brantford facilities in the West GTA. The role will be based at 450 Export Boulevard with monthly travel to all supported sites. This full‑time in‑office position offers autonomy to contribute to the HR department’s goals. Responsibilities Act as the primary HR contact for assigned facilities and escalates any concerns accordingly. Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance, as appropriate. Support the full recruitment cycle by working with the hiring manager in developing job postings, sourcing candidates, shortlisting candidates, conducting pre‑screens, arranging interviews, creating employment contracts, completing background checks and references, etc. Responsible for the onboarding process for all new hires, ensuring all paperwork is received and completed correctly, communicating with payroll, ensuring required training is completed, and ensuring the 45‑day and 90‑day performance review process is completed on time. Coordinate and provide training sessions as required and maintain the training matrix. Assist in the Health and Safety program as required. Assist with benefit administration and input benefit deductions in payroll accordingly. Support all internal and external audits. Support internal investigations related to HR issues. Provide guidance to supervisors/managers for discipline letters and additional support as required. Complete employee‑requested letters. Work closely with managers to provide timely updates for employee leave of absences and wage increases in accordance with the wage grid for hourly employees. Maintain personnel‑related records in both paper and database and ensure all employment requirements are met. Assist with time and attendance as required. Plan and schedule meetings, HR events, etc. Produce and submit reports on general HR activity. Assist in ad‑hoc HR projects as assigned by the director. Use Dayforce to increase efficiencies and provide reports to support managers. Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures and work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Support other functions as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements HR certificate or degree. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar HR role. Experience with Dayforce preferred. Experience in the same or similar industry an asset. CHRP designation preferred. Key Competencies Self‑starter who works well under pressure and has great time‑management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Great interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work well both independently and across multiple departments. Detail‑oriented. Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize responsibilities and multi‑task. Excellent reading, writing, and oral communication skills.
