General ManagerCarlisle is seeking a General Manager to lead the field sales organization behind our strategic partnership with The Home Depot, our most significant retail account, representing approximately $200 million in annual sales across roof coatings and repair products, rigid foam insulation, denim batt insulation, housewraps, door and window flashings, and HVAC mastics and tapes.This is fundamentally a field leadership role — a "field general" who leads through the Regional Managers and Territory Representatives who are on the ground driving execution and results every day. The General Manager is responsible for building and maintaining a strong, accountable, well-developed sales organization, and for preserving the culture that has made this team successful.A dedicated account-management partner handles much of the administrative and operational work of managing the Home Depot account (order management, program logistics, and similar back-office functions), allowing the General Manager to focus on leading people, driving performance, and developing talent.Field Leadership & Team ManagementLead, coach, and hold accountable a field organization of 4 Regional Managers and ~25 Territory Representatives.Set clear performance expectations and drive accountability to sales budgets across all regions and territories.Conduct regular business reviews with Regional Managers to track performance, identify gaps, and course-correct quickly.Be a visible, hands-on presence in the field — traveling to work alongside Regional Managers and reps, observing execution, and reinforcing standards.Onboarding & Talent DevelopmentOwn the onboarding process for new Regional Managers and Territory Representatives, ensuring new hires ramp quickly and understand Carlisle's expectations, products, and culture.Build and maintain a strong talent bench, identifying high performers and developing them for advancement into larger roles across Carlisle, not just within this team.Create development plans and growth paths for Regional Managers and top-performing reps.Partner with HR and other Carlisle business leaders to place developed talent into broader opportunities across the organization.Culture & Organizational HealthPreserve and reinforce the culture that has made this retail team successful, ensuring it carries forward through leadership transition.Model and champion the team's values and standards of accountability, work ethic, and customer focus.Foster strong esprit de corps across regions, keeping a geographically dispersed field team aligned and engaged.Sales Performance & Account GrowthOwn the sales budget for the Home Depot business and hold the field organization accountable for hitting it.Identify opportunities for growth in distribution, share, and category performance, and translate strategy into field execution.Partner with the dedicated account-management coworker who handles day-to-day administrative and operational aspects of the Home Depot account, ensuring alignment between field execution and account management.Represent the field organization in relevant business reviews and planning discussions with Home Depot and internal Carlisle leadership as needed.Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Strong, hands-on field leadership style — comfortable coaching in the field, not just managing from a distance.High accountability standards, with the ability to hold Regional Managers and reps to performance expectations.Talent developer at heart — genuinely invested in growing people and creating pathways for advancement.Culture carrier — able to reinforce and evolve team identity and standards without losing what makes it work.Sales-driven mindset with a track record of hitting and growing budgets.Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy in a remote/flexible role, with regular field travel.Education:No specific degree requirement; relevant experience and demonstrated results are the priority.Working Conditions:Travel 50% of the time.
