We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and service-oriented Maintenance Technician II to join our team and play a key role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well-cared-for living environment for our residents.DescriptionAs our Maintenance Technician II, you'll help ensure the community remains in excellent condition by performing maintenance repairs, preventative maintenance, and supporting the overall appearance and functionality of the property. Key responsibilities include:Completing service requests and maintenance work orders in a timely, professional, and courteous mannerDiagnosing and repairing issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other building systemsPerforming preventative maintenance on community equipment, buildings, and common areasPreparing vacant apartment homes for new residents by completing make-ready and turn processesConducting routine inspections of buildings, grounds, amenities, and equipment to identify maintenance needs and safety concernsAssisting with emergency maintenance situations and participating in an on-call rotation as requiredMaintaining community curb appeal through regular upkeep of grounds, common areas, and property amenitiesEnsuring all work is completed in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulationsMaintaining accurate records of completed work orders, inspections, inventory, and maintenance activitiesCommunicating effectively with residents, vendors, and team members to provide exceptional customer serviceAssisting with inventory management and maintaining appropriate levels of maintenance supplies and equipmentSupporting community improvement projects and capital improvement initiatives as neededPromoting a positive, safe, and welcoming community environmentPerforming other duties as assignedWho You AreWe're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and is committed to delivering outstanding service. The ideal candidate will have:Previous apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience preferredWorking knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general maintenance practicesHVAC certification preferred; additional industry certifications are a plusStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent customer service and communication abilitiesAbility to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments efficientlyStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipAbility to work independently while contributing positively to a team environmentHigh school diploma or GED requiredBasic computer and mobile technology skills for work order management systems and communication platformsExperience with Yardi, ResMan, On-Site, or other property management software preferredAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as required by the positionAbility to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditionsValid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation requiredWhy You'll Love Working With UsWe believe in taking care of our team just as much as our residents.
