Job Summary:
This is a Med/Surg Neuro position located in Arlington Heights, Illinois. The role involves providing care for neuro patient populations, including stroke, neurosurgical, and seizure patients. Candidates are required to bring their Illinois licensure on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Position: Medical Surgical Floor (MS)
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Illinois license, Basic Life Support (BLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); 2+ years of strong Med/Surg experience with neuro focus; EMR experience with EPIC charting; candidates must submit an updated resume, skills checklist completed within 12 months, one reference completed within 12 months, and Illinois license verification
• Preferred Qualifications: Neuro experience, EMR proficiency with EPIC, and at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience relevant to neuro patient care
• Float: As needed to other Medical/Surgical units
• Additional Information: Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1/5 or 1/6. Neuro patient population includes stroke, spine, cranial, ENT, and seizure patients. Orientation occurs on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with credential verification due Thursday before the start date. Orientation hours total 10 hours nonbillable, with 8 hours dedicated to EPIC training and 12 hours on the unit
