Parts Manager

Great Western Trailer (GWT) is hiring a full-time Parts Manager to lead the Parts Department at our Phoenix, AZ facility. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of parts operations, including purchasing, inventory control, vendor management, and customer support. Who We’re Looking For GWT is looking for a driven and experienced Parts Manager who is: Organized & Detail-Oriented – Skilled in inventory accuracy, procurement, and vendor coordination. Customer-Centric – Dedicated to supporting internal service teams and retail customers with timely, reliable parts support. Parts Manager Responsibilities Manage day-to-day parts operations including ordering, inventory control, and over-the-counter sales. Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate parts department staff. Ensure timely and accurate parts support for service repairs and customer inquiries. Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing excess stock. Build and manage vendor relationships; negotiate pricing and delivery terms. Handle parts returns, warranty claims, and track inbound/outbound shipments. Maintain precise documentation for parts transactions and inventory records. Coordinate with the service department to forecast and fulfill parts needs. Track department KPIs and implement strategies to achieve monthly targets. Ensure safety and compliance with company policies and OSHA guidelines. Required Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in parts management (trailer, or heavy equipment preferred). Proven success in inventory control, vendor negotiations, and team leadership. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Comfortable using inventory software and Microsoft Office programs. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. High school diploma or GED required; additional education is a plus. Physical Demands & Work Environment Must be able to lift and move up to 70 lbs. Frequent walking, standing, reaching, bending, and lifting. Use of hands, arms, and visual focus for handling parts and tools. Work is primarily performed in a warehouse/shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and equipment. Occasional office tasks using standard office equipment. Forklift certification and safety training provided upon hire.
