Description

• Conduct evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create personalized therapy plans that focus on immediate goals while addressing long-term communication, cognition, or swallowing needs.
• Engage in individualized speech therapy interventions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to implement unified care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families to support ongoing progress between therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the entire therapy journey.
• Keep precise and timely documentation according to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Remain abreast of advancements in the field through continuous learning and professional exchanges.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not been achieved.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting employment.
