Payor Strategy Lead – Ensign Services Unite with Ensign Services, Inc. (ESI) to lead payor strategy across our workforce of over 55,000 professionals serving 361 healthcare operations in 17 states. ESI delivers specialized support—accounting, legal, managed care, business development, HR, benefits, compliance, payroll, construction, training, and IT—through its central Service Center. Key Responsibilities Lead payor strategy within a defined region, managing both hands‑on oversight and direct supervision of a diverse Managed Care Resources (MCR) and Strategic Growth Resources (SGR) team. Develop, expand, and optimize payment models for each operation, including contracts with managed care organizations, Medicare value‑based programs, and strategic partnerships with hospitals and physician groups. Serve as the proactive liaison with Operations and MCR/SGR resources to identify opportunities, address root causes, and coordinate solutions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, escalating systemic issues to operational leadership as needed. Travel up to 70% within the U.S. to provide leadership and service (travel may depend on physical presence at served locations). Actively participate in state and national healthcare associations and subcommittees when opportunities arise. Leadership, Technical, Analytical, and Managerial Functions Lead and manage the MCR/SGR teams—recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance evaluation, and professional development. Design and deliver high‑quality presentations and training materials for internal and external audiences. Leverage advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power BI, Smartsheet) and contract‑management software. Apply comprehensive knowledge of skilled nursing billing, collections, accounting, and audit practices to inform rate setting and incentive negotiations. Analyze, interpret, and monitor key financial and operational metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Translate complex financial data into actionable insights, coaching teams on effective communication with operations, leadership, and interdisciplinary partners. Drive data‑driven decision‑making for MCR/SGR teams, aligning strategies with performance metrics such as PPD, census, and quality indicators. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines while implementing new systems and processes. Qualifications Experience in skilled nursing facility management preferred (e.g., Executive Director, Director of Therapy Services, Director of Nursing, Regional Revenue Strategist, AR or Managed Care Specialist). Minimum of 5 years of relevant financial and management experience, including multi‑site leadership in a geographically diverse organization. Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare, finance, or business‑related field. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience. Position type: Full‑time, Exempt employee.
