POSITION SUMMARY:
To ensure good quality parts are packed in accordance with customer’s requirements and to work in a safe and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate a series of machines as assigned by the Lead Quality Inspector or Supervisor at the beginning of each shift. At the discretion of the Shift Supervisor, a Quality Inspector may be assigned to several machines during the course of a shift, or more than one machine at a time. The Inspector may be assigned to run a given machine for the entire length of a production run, whether that run lasts one day, or several days or weeks.

• Read and understand the product and packaging requirements in the Red Book prior to running each machine. Inspector must initial the Daily Production Sheet prior to running the machine.

• Understand and execute product quality and packaging requirements as outlined in the Red Book.

• Understand safety policy and critical safety behaviors as discussed during training.

• Perform job duties efficiently and safely to avoid production backup.

• Alert Supervisor, Lead Quality Inspector, Process Technician, or Quality Technician of any noticeable defects or non-conforming products and ensure such product is effectively contained.

• Ensure all scrap is isolated and accounted for.

• Perform routine housekeeping and maintenance tasks throughout the shift as assigned by the Shift Supervisor to ensure the working area is clean and safe at all times. At the end of each shift, operators are responsible for cleaning their work area and placing dirty gloves and rags in their respective containers.

• Each operator is responsible for building enough boxes for the next shift’s production based on Red Book guidelines.

• Inspectors must return any gate cutters or other fixtures to the QA office or Supervisor at the end of their shift or as directed.

• Adhere to all company and departmental procedures.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Abilities:

• Capable of physical mobility, including standing, sitting, bending, twisting, lifting, and reaching with hands and arms.

• Capable of passing a company-required drug test.

• Capable of maintaining attendance within Adecco guidelines.

• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Capable of regularly lifting and/or moving up to 45 lbs. at shoulder height and 25 lbs. overhead in order to stack boxes. Must be able to stack boxes on pallets up to 6 feet high.

• Ability to work standing for the entire shift.

• Vision must be correctable to 20/20, including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

• No uncorrectable hearing impairment.

• Full use of both hands.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

• Required to wear gloves when operating certain machines as instructed by the Red Book.

• Required to wear safety glasses at all times on the production floor.

• Ear plugs and a face shield must be worn when using a grinder.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

• Work is performed in a clean room environment, air-conditioned production area, or non-air-conditioned warehouse setting.

• In clean room environments, employees are required to wear gloves, hair nets, beard nets (if applicable), and lab coats.

Pay Details: $16.00 to $17.25 per hour
