NY1 Senior Facilities Electrical Engineer - FAC

Overview Micron Technology is a world leader in memory and storage solutions. We seek an Electrical Operations Engineer to bridge construction and operations, supporting the lifecycle of critical electrical systems across our manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities Review electrical design documents, support design coordination activities, and assess constructability and compliance with applicable codes and standards. Participate in submittal reviews, RFIs, system inspections, and commissioning activities to verify installation quality and system functionality. Perform and interpret electrical calculations including load flow, fault current, and arc‑flash studies using industry‑standard tools. Transition into system ownership post‑construction, managing electrical distribution equipment, motor control systems, UPS systems, generators, and backup power infrastructure. Conduct root‑cause analyses for electrical events, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain documentation accuracy using engineering tools and support training for maintenance and operations personnel. Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA70E, IEEE standards, and Micron safety requirements across all operational activities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 3–5 years of electrical engineering experience supporting design, construction, or operations. Knowledge of power distribution systems, MCCs, VFDs, and emergency/backup systems. Familiarity with NEC, NFPA70E, IEEE standards, and NETA testing practices. Proficiency in electrical modeling tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM) and BIM platforms (e.g., Revit, Navisworks). Preferred Qualifications Experience in high‑reliability or mission‑critical facilities (e.g., semiconductor, pharmaceutical, data centers). Exposure to electrical system cybersecurity frameworks such as IEC62443. Understanding of IoT, smart‑grid technologies, or Industry4.0 electrical applications. Experience leading or mentoring operations or maintenance personnel. Compensation US base salary range: $107,000–$221,000 per year. Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses, and equity.
