VP of Revenue Cycle - FT

Responsibilities Maintains responsibility for systemic approaches that contribute to the capture, management, and collection of patient service revenue. Enhances and maintains a properly functioning revenue cycle process through a cross‑department organizational structure. Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination. Collaborates with other members of the executive management team to align departmental strategy with the overall goals of the organization. Develops policies, practices, and procedures that optimize revenue, reduce claim denials, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulations. Analyzes data from multiple sources to identify and proactively address trends and recommend best practices. Acts in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values. Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI). Maintains effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public. Performs other duties as assigned. Oversees and guides team members, including personnel decisions and performance assessments. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field. Experience: 10+ years of progressive healthcare industry experience. Preferred Education: Master’s degree. Preferred Experience: Experience within Kansas healthcare systems or familiarity with Kansas-specific regulations. Preferred Certifications: Industry‑recognized professional certification. Knowledge: Extensive patient financial services operational knowledge including regulations and requirements of accrediting agencies; principles of health information management, revenue cycle (DNFB) management and change management; experience administering programs to address HIPAA/ARRA HITECH, retention laws & regulations; current knowledge of protection of health and business data. Skills: Excellent organization, facilitation, communication and presentation skills; negotiation, project management, analytical skills; effective leadership and team‑building skills; strong communication and interpersonal abilities; capacity to drive change and foster innovation within the revenue cycle function. Physical Requirements: Light work – occasionally exerting up to 25 lbs; 11‑25% of the day standing or walking; manual dexterity and visual acuity to read reports, data, and computer screens; may require occasional travel for vendor meetings or conferences.
