Job Description The Lead, Leadership & Instructional Systems is responsible for the upfront and ongoing instructional & leadership systems training and development of aligned district support content and tools for the new grant program supporting the planning, adoption and implementation of High-Quality Instruction Materials (HQIM) in 400+ districts annually across Texas. This role will also collaborate with teams outside of the Leadership and Instructional Foundations of Texas division to support the integration of performance management, and observation and feedback aligned practices across the agency. Additional responsibilities include observation of and feedback on upfront vendor Train the Trainer delivery to achieve and maintain certification for Education Service Center and external vendor approved providers supporting the grant. This position will also conduct field visits to provide feedback to coaching and development team on the strength of district implementation and Approved Provider support. This role is a part of a dynamic and fast-moving team where collaboration and cross-office internal support are often needed. The Lead, Leadership & Instructional Systems is also responsible for the management of special projects, collaboration across the team's multiple workstreams as needed, and ensuring alignment and collaboration within the HQIM Implementation Team and cross-agency. This collaboration will include meeting with and discussing program content and alignment across the HQIM Implementation Team, and the following other teams within the agency: Open Education Resources, School Improvement, and District Strategic Leadership. This position requires up to 10% travel, based on business needs, to support program initiatives, collaboration, and operational priorities. 1. Instructional Leadership Systems Content & Professional Learning Development: manage vendor development of upfront and ongoing instructional & leadership systems training and development of aligned district support content and tools (e.g., Year 0 observation/feedback, schoolwide culture routines); collaborate with partner teams on material iteration and versions for different district roles (e.g., instructional leadership vs. campus leadership); ensure all content is aligned to program vision, research, and adult professional learning best practices
2. Facilitation and Support of Program Trainings: prepare and facilitate monthly training sessions for groups of external approved providers ranging in size from 30 to 300; collaborate with internal and vendor team members to prepare and manage the training sessions; analyze, reflect, propose changes and make improvements to future training sessions
3. Approved Provider (AP) Quality Support: conduct observation and feedback on upfront vendor facilitated sessions to program participants including both district and campus leadership teams; execute activities, potentially including but not limited to artifact grading, role plays, leading focus groups and giving feedback, as inputs into overall evaluation of the quality of approved providers support and their facilitation of program training in the field
4. Field Visits & AP Improvement Support: conduct field visits and provide feedback on strength of district implementation and approved provider support to internal and external partner teams; where needed, push into approved providers continuous professional learning, performance management, and coaching structures to support growth

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university Experience: At least five [5] years of experience in one of the following areas: Instructional Leadership at the District or Campus Level or in a role directly working with and supporting those leaders. Substitution: Education and experience may substitute for one another on a year-for-year basis. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and qualifications and consider internal pay equity across employees performing similar work. The top half of the posted salary range is generally reserved for candidates whose qualifications exceed the role's requirements. The maximum of the range is typically reserved for candidates who significantly exceed the required and preferred qualifications.
