Banquet Captain

The Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe is looking for an experienced Banquet Captain to join their team. Under the direction of the Banquet Manager, the Banquet Captain supervises and leads a team of banquet staff and ensures exceptional customer service throughout an event. The property is located in Canonsburg. The Banquet Captain will be responsible for the setup of meeting rooms and ballroom for banquets, meetings, and other social functions. This position will coordinate all banquet staff in servicing and training in conjunction with the Directors and Managers of the department. The Banquet Captain executes all event orders and ensures the setup of all function rooms and ballrooms for banquets, meetings, and other social functions. They work closely with other departments in the hotel to ensure events run smoothly and clients' needs are met. Required Skills Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and available for all shifts. Ability to work autonomously and sell effectively. Outstanding people skills. Trustworthy and results-driven. Must be available nights, weekends and/or holidays. Knowledge of beer, wine & spirits. Education and Experience High school diploma/GED and a minimum of 3 years related experience. Banquet experience required.
