Controls Engineer

Forvia – Process/Controls Engineer Position Summary: The Process/Controls Engineer provides controls/electrical engineering support to the assigned UAP cell and assists maintenance in supporting the plant through trouble shooting/problem solving methodologies to eliminate down time and decrease quality defects to the customer. The Process/Control Engineer will also write/create/modify programs to meet the plant objectives as well as maintain warranty and OEM liabilities. Responsibilities Contribute to the Engineering Change Management process Responsible for the process design and implementation Support continuous improvement Support production through problem solving and participation in the QRCI process Assist production with trouble shooting and programming Behave in accordance with our values as established in Faurecia’s code of ethics and code of management Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management Automation/Controls Responsibilities Trouble shooting and programming PLCs – preferably Siemens Trouble shooting and programming vision inspection systems Robotics – Linear and articulating Lean – assembly line balancing, visual factory, Kanban Process Design Define cycle time in line with takt time and standard operations Integrate ergonomics principles in line design Release manufacturing process documents Issue process flowcharts Conduct process FMEA Support updating plant layout Follow-up prototype builds Get support from relevant technology experts or support functions Process Implementation Ensure equipment delivery and installation in the plant for continuous improvement Carry out process activity analysis Implement improvement action plans Participate in equipment reception process Capitalize on lessons learned and provide best practices Profile and Competencies Knowledge / Skills Strong communication skills – ability to interface with other functions – and work with employees at all levels of the organization Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Must be very knowledgeable in Process and Manufacturing methods Education / Experience At least 5 years’ experience in automotive manufacturing, including one position in Manufacturing Engineering Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or technical discipline Trained in Faurecia Excellence System AutoCAD, Electrical and mechanical, Multiple controls logic languages software programming, robot programming Proficient level of English Benefits Engaging and dynamic environment to contribute to sustainable mobility technology development Opportunities for career development within a large global automotive supplier Learning environment with access to training through FORVIA University Multicultural environment that values diversity and inclusion, with gender diversity targets and inclusion action plans Commitment to CO2 Net Zero with SBTI Net-Zero Standard certification #J-18808-Ljbffr faurecia S.A.
