Insurance Coverage Attorney

- Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies.
- Draft coverage opinions and provide coverage advice to clients.
- Conduct legal research and analyze findings.
- Draft memoranda.
- Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs, and legal correspondence regarding insurance coverage litigation.
- Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
- Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
- Proactively manage matters, deadlines, and client communications.
- Provide strategic guidance to insurance companies on first-party and third-party coverage analysis.
- Defend against alleged bad faith claims in Washington and other jurisdictions nationwide.
Requirements
- Admitted to practice in Washington State.
- Experience in insurance coverage and coverage litigation, or a commercial litigation background with an interest in insurance coverage work.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
