Maximize efficiency, store appearance, customer and associate satisfaction. Process donations in a timely manner for placement on the sales floor. Essential Duties Inspect donations and raw material for quality to determine marketability as outlined in the Retail Operations Manual. Sort raw material – categorize for store use, salvage, trash. Stand and tag donated items according to Goodwill’s rotation system as outlined in the Retail Operations Manual. Stand and hang sorted goods for placement on the retail sales floor based on productivity standards outlined in the Retail Operations Manual. Produce appropriate number of items each day according to Goodwill’s minimum standards as outlined in the Retail Operations Manual. Adhere to uniform dress code standards as outlined in the Retail Operations Manual. Demonstrate an enthusiastic and positive attitude. Work as a team member in a fast‑paced environment, handling multiple priorities and quickly learning new procedures. Cross‑train in multiple production and customer service positions. Adhere to Assets Protection control and compliance procedures. Communicate effectively with customers, peers and management. Adhere to work schedule. Handle physical requirements to accomplish daily responsibilities. Supervisory Responsibilities The associate in this position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. Education / Experience / Certificates / Security Clearance High School Diploma or GED preferred. Combination of education and work experience considered. No previous experience required. No professional certifications required. Driving not required. Must successfully pass a criminal background check. Information Privacy and Security This associate may have access to Confidential Information and is required to be familiar with the Goodwill Privacy policy and follow procedures to protect the privacy and security of CI. Physical Demands / Work Environment / Work Conditions Lift up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Work in a moderate environment with occasional exposure to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.).
