Process Engineer, Chemical Manufacturing

Job Description

Our client is a privately held chemical manufacturer that is looking to hire a Process Engineer (Chemical Engineer) for their chemical manufacturing plant in the Charlotte NC area. The primary purpose of this position is to develop, manage, and execute the activities associated with production of new products at the Charlotte manufacturing site, as well as develop, manage, and execute activities with our contract manufacturers (CMOs), suppliers and partners within the North American region. This position will also serve as a technical resource for global production of products that are also manufactured in the USA. The importance is to ensure our ingredient supply is multi sourced with partners that share our sustainability and safety values and are in regions that provide a strategic value to the organization, provide engineering support to production and quality, and lead the operational aspects of the company’s sustainability program.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the New Product Introduction process
\n
• Manage the company’s business continuity plan
\n
• Provide engineering support to production
\n
• Support operational and procurement efforts in the company’s sustainability initiatives
\n

Education / Experience / Skills / Abilities:

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
\n
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience in a chemical manufacturing facility
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
\n
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
\n
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
\n
• Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently, take initiative to identify improvement opportunities, and collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams
\n
• Ability to troubleshoot and create strategic action plans
\n
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
\n
• Ability to read and understand manuals and maintain proper records
\n
• Basic understanding of ISO-9000
\n
