Associate, Internal Product Specialists

Job Overview Associate, Internal Product Specialists with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, located in New York, New York. Responsibilities Prepare custom presentations and quarterly and annual investor letters for prospective and existing clients. Create and incorporate data analyses related to investment performance, fund strategy, portfolio exposures, concentrations, and diversification. Develop and maintain product profiles, pitch books, and other marketing materials focused on XIG services, products and performance. Design and prepare pitch books, marketing materials and commentary related to private equity funds and co‑investments. Prepare detailed committee memos and synthesize due diligence process and results; present to investment, implementation, operational and Board committees. Analyze macroeconomic trends and private equity fund performance and integrate with investment teams to produce client commentary and quarterly letters. Conduct research on business development trends or themes by geography and client type, and conduct competitor analysis and market intelligence on private equity managers, private funds and alternative investments. Conduct market research and data analytics using Preqin and Pitchbook. Travel internationally and domestically up to 20% of the time per year to meet with current and prospective clients and sales teams; all travel expenses reimbursed by the firm. Requirements Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related analytical or engineering specialty such as Chemical Engineering. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related investment management position. Three (3) years of experience designing and preparing pitch books, marketing materials and commentary relating to private equity funds and co‑investments. Experience creating data analyses and quantitative models to prepare detailed committee memos, synthesizing due diligence processes and results, and presenting to investment, implementation, operational and Board committees. Experience analyzing macroeconomic trends and private equity funds and co‑investment fund performance while closely integrating with investment teams. Experience conducting research around business development trends or themes by geography and client type, along with competitor analysis and market intelligence on private equity managers and alternative investments. Knowledge of the investment management industry and the private equity sector. Proficiency in market research and data analytics using Preqin and Pitchbook. Compensation Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York-based position is $149,000 - $156,000. Job Code Job Code: 9406030.
