Job Description
The Tire and Lube Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and performance of passenger cars and light trucks/SUVs. This individual contributor position focuses equally on tire services and lube maintenance, ensuring vehicles are serviced efficiently and in compliance with safety standards. The technician handles tasks such as tire installation, oil changes, vehicle inspections, and equipment maintenance while delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Install and balance tires on passenger cars and light trucks/SUVs
- Perform oil changes following proper procedures
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs
- Maintain and service equipment to ensure operational safety
- Adhere to safety protocols and compliance standards at all times
- Provide clear and courteous communication with customers
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in automotive maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in tire mounting and balancing techniques
- Knowledgeable in oil change procedures and basic vehicle maintenance
- Understanding of safety protocols within automotive service
- Effective customer communication skills
- Experience operating relevant automotive equipment
- Strong attention to detail
