Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current, active Michigan Special Education Teacher Certification with CI or ASD endorsement required
• Previous experience working in ASD and/or CI classrooms at the elementary level is highly desirable
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt lessons and materials to meet individual learning needs
• Passion for cultivating an inclusive, supportive environment for all learners

Responsibilities:

• Lead instruction for either ASD or CI self-contained classrooms, or provide targeted support within a resource room
• Differentiate teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
• Monitor student progress, develop and implement IEPs, and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate with fellow educators, families, and support staff to best serve each student
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Contribute to a positive, respectful learning atmosphere that encourages student growth
