Service Coordinator

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing service-based company in the San Diego area, for a Service Coordinator to join their operations team. This is a great opportunity for an organized, people-focused professional to be the central point of contact between customers, field technicians, and internal teams, keeping daily service operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Day to day, you will spend your time on the phone and in scheduling software, juggling incoming requests, dispatching technicians, and following up to make sure every job is completed on time and to the customer's satisfaction. People who thrive in this role are calm under pressure, naturally organized, and enjoy solving problems on the fly while keeping multiple moving parts on track.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers scheduling service appointments
• Coordinate and dispatch field technicians based on location, skill set, and availability
• Monitor daily schedules and adjust routing in response to delays, cancellations, or emergencies
• Communicate appointment windows, updates, and delays to customers proactively
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, work orders, and customer accounts in the CRM
• Follow up with customers after service visits to confirm satisfaction and resolve issues
• Collaborate with billing and inventory teams to ensure parts and invoicing are processed correctly
• Escalate complex customer concerns to management when needed
• Support onboarding of new technicians by sharing scheduling and process guidelines
• Prepare daily and weekly reports on service volume and technician performance

Requirements

• High school diploma required, associate degree preferred
• Two or more years of experience in scheduling, dispatch, or customer service coordination
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with scheduling or CRM software and Microsoft Office
• Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
• Ability to stay composed and solution-oriented during high-pressure situations
• Experience in field service, home services, or a similar industry a plus
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments
