Description

Our client, the U.S.'s largest commercial real estate services firm, is seeking an HVAC Technician to support a multi-use commercial facility in Savannah, GA . This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for an HVAC technician with commercial troubleshooting experience who enjoys working in a dynamic facility environment. The successful candidate will perform preventive and corrective maintenance across manufacturing, warehouse, laboratory, and office spaces while partnering with other technicians to maintain safe and efficient building operations. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm with possible overtime, and a rotating weekend on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial HVAC systems and associated equipment.
Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and determine appropriate repair solutions.
Complete daily assigned work orders and preventive maintenance (PM) and repair maintenance (RM) tasks.
Change HVAC filters, light bulbs, and ceiling tiles as part of routine facility maintenance.
Support senior HVAC technicians with repairs, installations, and equipment maintenance.
Perform general building maintenance, including minor door repairs and basic facility upkeep.
Inspect and maintain safety equipment to ensure compliance with facility standards.
Assist with HVAC control systems and refrigeration equipment as needed.
Document completed work and maintain accurate maintenance records using computerized maintenance systems.
Interact professionally with clients and team members while maintaining a safe work environment.
Participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule and occasional overtime as needed.

Must Have Skills

2-5 years of commercial HVAC experience.
Strong HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience.
Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
High School Diploma or GED (trade school preferred).

Nice to Have Skills

Universal EPA Section 608 Certification.
Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Refrigerant handling experience.
Experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Building Management System (BMS) experience.
General maintenance and basic carpentry experience.
