Neuromuscular Neuropsychologist / Assistant Professor The Neuromuscular Neuropsychologist (NN) will be part of a thriving academic/clinical team in the Division of Pediatric Neurology in the Department of Pediatrics, University of Utah School of Medicine. The NN will provide a full range of psychotherapeutic, diagnostic, and training activities and will deliver high‑level psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence‑based treatment services, primarily for children with neuromuscular disorders or other pediatric neurological disorders, in inpatient and outpatient settings. Clinical activities will be conducted primarily at Primary Children’s Hospital and the Eccles Outpatient Building. The NN is expected to be an integral part of clinical research efforts in neuropsychological testing for clinical trials and other research endeavors, including cognitive and behavioral components of children and young adults with neuromuscular disorders. Responsibilities Provide psychotherapeutic, diagnostic, and training activities for children with neuromuscular and other pediatric neurological disorders. Deliver high‑level psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence‑based treatment services. Conduct neuropsychological testing for clinical trials and other research efforts. Participate in clinical research, education activities, quality improvement, and advocacy. Qualifications Ph.D. from an APA‑accredited graduate program in Education Psychology or Counseling Psychology. Successful completion of an APA‑approved doctoral internship in Counseling Psychology. Research experience in pediatric neuromuscular disorders, including publications. Prior experience in neuromuscular clinical trials.
