JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Emergency Medicine • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Kilgore, TX • Service Setting: Freestanding Emergency Department • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: 10/01/2026 – Ongoing • Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM - Minimum 5 Shifts/Month PATIENT INFORMATION • Annual Volume: 14,500• Patients Per Day: Approximately 40• Admission Rate: 5.5%• EMS Volume: 4%• Case Mix: Freestanding Emergency Medicine FACILITY INFORMATION • ED Beds: 11• EMR: Epic • Trauma Designation: None • Backup: Telepsychiatry, Telehospitalist, CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Longview PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Credentialing: 60–90 Days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel/Lodging/Malpractice: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Independent Emergency Department Coverage • Emergency Stabilization • Emergency Medicine Procedures JOB REQUIREMENTS • Active Texas License • ABEM, AOBEM, or ABFM (2+ years ED experience for ABFM)• EM or FM Residency • BLS Required • ATLS/ACLS per Board Status DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Evaluate and treat emergency patients • Document in Epic • Coordinate transfers and consultations • Work independently in a freestanding ED
