Instructional Support Specialist – Direct Hire

Location: Multiple locations throughout Chester County & surrounding areas
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $17.50–$19.95/hour ($36,400–$41,496 annually)
Type: Direct Hire

• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students throughout the school day
• Assist with classroom management and support students' academic, social, and behavioral needs
• Work closely with teachers and administrators to support classroom goals and student development
• Provide daily support and documentation regarding student progress
• Reinforce positive behavior strategies and support PBIS goals and objectives
• Assist students with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
• Provide individualized support to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autism
• Help create a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's Degree or completion of two years of college preferred
• Previous experience in special education, behavioral health, education, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
• Experience working with students with complex behavioral or emotional needs is a plus
• Must be comfortable working directly with children and adolescents who may require behavioral and/or physical support

Positions are available at several specialized educational programs throughout the area, including locations in:

• Downingtown
• West Chester
• Malvern
• Norristown
• Landenberg

Students range from approximately 5–22 years old , depending on the program, with populations including individuals with autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and behavioral or emotional challenges.

The specific school placement will be determined based on your experience, the needs of the program, and what location is the best fit for you.
