You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate Medicare billing and handling denials to optimize reimbursement and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of Medicare billing for home health and hospice services in compliance with CMS guidelines.
• Review, research, and resolve billing denials and rejections promptly to ensure timely payment.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to verify patient information and service documentation.
• Prepare and submit accurate claims through electronic billing systems.
• Maintain detailed records of billing activities and denial resolutions.
• Stay current with Medicare policies and updates affecting billing and reimbursement.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Medicare biller and denial specialist within home health and hospice care.
• In-depth knowledge of Medicare billing regulations and procedures.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve denials efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating across departments and with payers.
• Ability to work on-site in Livonia, MI; remote candidates will not be considered.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) and billing software is preferred.
