Junior Electrical Technician

Electrical TechnicianA Kent, Ohio manufacturer is seeking to hire an Electrical Technician. This role offers steady, hands-on electrical work splitting time between our Ravenna shop and regional customer sites. It is the perfect career launchpad to build valuable industrial field experience, offering a direct foundation for future leadership opportunities within our growing electrical team.ResponsibilitiesAssemble and wire industrial control panels directly from schematics and wiring diagrams.Install panels into industrial machinery, connecting critical sensors, motors, interlocks, and safety devices.Perform precise conduit installation, wire pulling, and secure electrical terminations.Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems both in our Ravenna shop and live at customer sites.Balance your time between productive shop work and exciting field service travel (up to 50%).Requirements2+ years of industrial electrical, panel wiring, or industrial maintenance experience.Proven ability to read, interpret, and follow electrical schematics and blueprints.Familiarity with machine safety hardware (e.g., E-stops, interlocks, safety relays).Hands-on proficiency with standard hand tools, measuring devices, and electrical test equipment. Basic PLC wiring knowledge is required (programming skills are a huge plus!)A strict safety mindset with the ability to work in heavy industrial environments.
