Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Assist in directing nursing services on the unit, following the Nursing Practice Act, under RN supervision. Delegate duties to nursing staff and monitor their performance. Observe patients for symptoms, reactions, and changes in physical or mental condition. Notify physicians of emergencies or patient deaths, and implement medical orders accordingly. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma and graduation from an accredited Nursing School. Valid LPN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing with renewal proof every other year. Willingness to serve as a charge nurse and work during emergencies for coverage. Ability to deliver quality nursing care, follow physician orders, and demonstrate interest in geriatric nursing. Annual CPR certification and participation in in-service training and staff meetings. Additional Information: Background checks and drug-free workplace policies are in place.
