Shift: 1st Shift

Pay: $24+ DOE (Depending on Experience)

Position Summary:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for identifying, correcting, and preventing quality defects in purchased materials while ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality procedures. This role supports continuous improvement by inspecting materials, verifying product conformance, and identifying root causes of non-conformance in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
• Perform inspections to identify and prevent internal and external product defects
• Verify product conformance through visual inspections, dimensional measurements, and performance testing
• Follow all Quality Management System procedures, manuals, and work instructions
• Complete documentation for non-conforming or rejected parts
• Investigate and support root cause analysis of defects
• Collaborate with inspection teams to prevent recurrence of non-conforming materials
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, notes, and tolerances
• Recommend improvements to quality processes and product requirements
• Verify calibration status of inspection tools and measuring instruments
• Detect and report defective materials, equipment issues, and abnormal conditions
• Communicate with suppliers and purchasing teams regarding defects and corrective actions
• Support corrective and preventive action processes
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 5-10 years of manufacturing experience
• Experience in mechanical assembly, welding, or machining preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, and quality inspection standards
• Experience with calibrated measuring tools and testing equipment
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems preferred
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• Computer proficiency (MS Office, Infor M3, WMS, databases, calibration systems)
• Ability to work overtime as needed

Physical Requirements:
• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100+ lbs occasionally
• Stand for 8+ hours per shift
• Perform repetitive motions, bending, and manual handling tasks
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights using industrial equipment
• Work in manufacturing environments with noise and safety hazards
