Refrigeration Technician Position

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a Refrigeration Technician in Upper Marlboro, MD! The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of medium duty fleet vehicles (refrigerated semi-truck units) to ensure a safe and efficient operation.

The Refrigeration Technician will require a high level of proficiency and working knowledge working on Reefer units, PMs, and A/C. Note you must have your 608 & 609. Required Reefer experience repairing the Refrigeration unit (Diesel Engine) on a Trailer. (Heavy-Duty Trailer Repair). Due to the nature of the repair flow, could repair some Trailers (DOT Inspections and Repairs) if Reefer Units are in working condition.

Pay range: $37.00/hour - $40.75/hour, dependent on experience. This is an overtime eligible role of time and a half. We pay weekly, every Friday. Potential sign on bonus up to $2,000.

Schedule: Friday - Monday, 4 day work week, 10 hour shift

What the Refrigeration Technician role looks like:

• Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to Reefer vehicles
• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
• Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
• Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
• Remove or install various parts on vehicles
• Interact with clients through both email or phone as necessary
• Perform other duties as required

What our ideal candidate looks like:

• Experience with Reefer units (Thermo King and/or Carrier)
• 607 and 608 Certifications a plus
• Experience with PMs and A/C
• Must have valid Drivers License- Class C
• Must provide own hand tools & toolbox
• Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
