Position Overview The General Manager reports to the District Sales Manager and leads a team to deliver exceptional customer experience and achieve business objectives. The role focuses on sales excellence, operational efficiency, and leadership development. Responsibilities Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff, including Assistant General Managers and Fitness Consultants. Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff, ensuring clarity of roles. Set and achieve membership and revenue goals, track KPIs, and craft strategies to increase retention and new sign‑ups. Provide constructive performance feedback to staff. Ensure high‑quality customer service by addressing member concerns, managing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly. Engage members with a friendly, approachable attitude and active listening. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, certifications, and safety protocols. Supervise facility maintenance and cleanliness of equipment, locker rooms, and common areas. Communicate calmly and clearly during emergencies or disruptions to ensure staff and member safety. Qualifications 2+ years of sales management experience. 3‑4 years of customer service experience. Strong interest or experience in the fitness industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong relationship‑building and influencing skills at all levels. Detail orientation, systematic problem‑solving, and strong time‑management and organizational skills. Alignment with our Core Values. Requirements Must pass a background check. CPR certification required within 30 days of hire. Ability to work in a gym setting and move throughout club floors. Proficiency in using the company computer system for documentation, data entry, and report review. Physical ability to bend routinely and lift more than 40 lbs.
