Molding Process Technician

In this hands-on contract position, you ll set up, adjust, and maintain advanced molding machines, ensuring efficient production and smooth operations. Work a stable day-shift schedule (7am 4pm or 8am 5pm) in a collaborative environment where your technical skills are highly valued and career development is encouraged. [Responsibilities]- Set up, start up, and adjust plastic molding machines according to daily production schedules
- Install and remove molds, ensuring precise alignment and secure connections
- Calibrate machine parameters such as temperature, pressure, and cycle time for peak performance
- Conduct first-piece inspections to verify product quality standards
- Troubleshoot process issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity
- Monitor machine operation and make real-time adjustments as needed
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on molds and related equipment
- Maintain accurate production and setup records, supporting process documentation
- Collaborate closely with quality, maintenance, and production teams to achieve goals
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety protocols and company procedures [Required Skills and Experience]- High school diploma or GED
- Hands-on experience operating molding machines and tooling
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Solid understanding of plastics materials and processing methods [Preferred Skills]- 2+ years of experience in molding setup or processing
