Warehouse Supervisor 2nd Shift

Description Sese Industrial is a greenfield operation that has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Supervisor. The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee warehouse operations to ensure that all incoming and outgoing material is processed according to schedule. Responsibility for storing the right amount of materials, goods and products in the right location to feed the business’s operational and customer demand. Warehouse Supervisor will supervise logistics operators, training new employees on how to use forklifts, tuggers and other warehouse vehicles and monitor compliance with safety standards. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team. Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of components. Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets timescales/requirements. Supervise and control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage. Organize, facilitate, and manage stock takes at regular intervals. Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the Company’s procedures and requirements. Responsible for driving Standard Work and ensuring quality processes are implemented. Oversee delivery of components to the production line on time, every time using appropriate methods. Ensure that internal delivery processes are adhered to support delivery time windows. Identify errors and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures. Sustain the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues. Deliver efficiencies to support year on year operational budget reduction. In conjunction with the Logistics Manager, implement warehouse and management systems and working practices in line with best practice and continuous improvement. Control of Forklift management to ensure full operational capacity and achieve daily targets. Oversee any planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment. Ensure security of Warehouse environment and maintain access control, ensuring 5S housekeeping standards are always maintained. Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system and ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy. Maintain the management of supplier return packaging. Record and communicate all shortage issues to the relevant Material Planner. Monitor stock levels to highlight minimum and excess levels and therefore prevent part shortages. Maintain training matrix and ensure employees are adequately trained and competent within their role to ensure operational flexibility. Coach the team daily in order that a common goal is focused upon, and those business objectives are met consistently. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES RELATED TO THE INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Know and comply with the policies of the Integrated Management System, the guidelines of the Employee Handbook and Plant Safety Rules Work following the processes defined in the organization. Ensure order and cleanliness in their area of responsibility. Make responsible use of resources and raw materials. Properly segregate waste using the containers provided for this purpose. Ensure their own safety, always complying with the safety measures and OSHA regulations applicable in each case. Use appropriately and responsibly the personal protective equipment required for their position. Comply with the measures implemented in the information security risk control and prevention systems. Report any conduct that they consider may pose a risk to information security and, in particular, to the security of personal data. Know and understand the group's environmental objectives. Know and understand the group's policy and principals in terms of MA management. Know and understand the most significant environmental aspects of the work center. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, preferred. Experience of operating in a supervisory capacity within a fast paced, highly pressurized warehouse production environment 5+ years of experience in warehouse environment Ability to persuade others to change existing practices. Ability to communicate effectively / Bilingual a Plus (Spanish). Experience working on multidisciplinary teams. Creative problem-solving skills Adept critical thinking skills for complex issues. Ability to sustain and develop team working and team-based problem solving. Possess the ability to lead and motivate a team of people to succeed by utilizing appropriate interpersonal styles including leading by example, setting objectives, and defining responsibilities to give a clear sense of direction. Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality Able to achieve results by setting high standards and committing to clear objectives. Computer literate with good numeric skills. ADDITIONAL NOTES Working Conditions: This job operates in a production warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This job operates forklifts, tuggers and/or other warehouse equipment as needed.
