Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment requiring ARRT MRI certification and BLS, with weekend and on-call availability.

Details

• Imaging MRI department in a hospital setting
• Shift schedule of 11:30 AM to midnight on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
• Full-time, 3 days per week at 12 hours per shift
• Weekend and on-call requirements apply
• Floating to other locations/campuses required
• Teal scrubs required

Requirements

• ARRT certification in MRI required (within 1 year of hire if not already held)
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required
• State licensure required if working in New Mexico (license required if applicable)
• MRT by MIRTP NMED certification required
• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or approved equivalent required
• Basic computer experience required
• IV start skills preferred

Additional Information

• Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced MRI imaging procedures
• Provide support for other imaging technologists to facilitate smooth patient flow
• Perform basic MRI safety screening of patients and staff
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and report malfunctions to management or biomedical personnel
• Ensure completed exams are properly scanned and stored in PACS, acting as a PACS Superuser when needed
• Participate in ongoing education, QA processes, and safety initiatives
• Demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts or at other campuses as needed
• Returning employees who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must have a 6-month separation period before starting a new travel assignment
