Service Manager

The Service Manager is responsible for leading and managing daily service operations to ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction, team performance, and profitability. This role provides leadership, direction, and accountability for service staff, processes, and results.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and supervision of service operations and staff.
• Plan, assign, and oversee daily service activities and workloads.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and manufacturer requirements.
• Lead customer interactions and ensure service quality and satisfaction.
• Review service work orders and invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor productivity, revenue, gross margin, and service KPIs.
• Conduct regular team meetings, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional facility and work environment.
• Support business development, customer retention, and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Serve as acting leader in the absence of assistant or regional leadership as assigned.
• Demonstrate and reinforce Company Values and professional conduct standards.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• 5+ years of experience in service or operations leadership.
• Strong customer service, communication, and leadership skills.
• Working knowledge of service operations, scheduling, and performance management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and company systems.
• Ability to interpret financial reports and manage performance to goals.

Preferred Skills & Knowledge

• Experience in fire, emergency vehicle, heavy truck, or related service industries.
• EVT, ASE, or comparable technical certifications.
• CDL (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Combination of office, shop, and field environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional exposure to noise, equipment, and shop conditions.
