Production Control Team Lead - 2nd shift

Summary:

Supervise the functions of the Production Associates, leading by example. Train employees and assist with the reviews of their Production Associates. Ensure the Production Associates have a safe environment to work in and understand their job responsibilities. Always emphasize safety and quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Always work safely and emphasize safety to all associates.
• Write, correct, and train associates on work instructions.
• Practice and follow all Quality Assurance requirements (i.e. IATF16949, ISO14001, etc.) & internal procedures.
• Complete department housekeeping and adhere to 5S standards.
• Contribute to teamwork environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities as assigned.
• Participate and complete all mandatory overtime, including Saturday and Sunday as scheduled.
• Pick/pack parts with high accuracy.
• Load/unload trucks.
• Recycle all items as allowed.
• High accuracy and organization with paperwork and physical counts.
• Will be assigned one shift but will work any shift as needed.
• Learn process of assembly areas to accurately count and supply parts.
• Distribute work assignments to associates.
• Complete daily paperwork and transfers.
• Verify count, scan, and scrap material.
• Attend daily operational meetings.
• Complete assigned projects, multi-tasking if appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned by MTEA management.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to occasionally lift-up to 40 lbs. throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand throughout the shift and overtime as assigned.
• Proficient with computers and RF scanning.
• Prefer SAP computer experience.
• Must have forklift experience, forklift trainer a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Supervision experience a plus.
