Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer to independently perform comprehensive echocardiograms, including bubble studies and stress echo, in a cardiac testing setting.
Details
- Hospital-based and/or outpatient cardiac testing setting
- Performs comprehensive echocardiograms, bubble studies, and stress echo
- 13-week assignment with an 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM shift schedule
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Current BLS certification (AHA preferred, Red Cross accepted at most sites)
- License required if applicable
- Advanced knowledge of congenital anatomy, surgical repairs, and age-dependent physiology
- Ability to acquire high-quality diagnostic images and provide accurate preliminary findings independently
Additional Information
- Understand exam rationale and support high-acuity diagnostic and clinical decision-making
- Comply with patient privacy and safety guidelines and departmental/hospital policies
- Responsibilities may evolve at the discretion of department leadership
- Flu vaccination required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Local candidates within 60 miles of the Boston facility are accepted at a reduced rate
