Field Auto Appraiser

Overview National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, offers home, auto, and health insurance among other niche products. The Auto Field Adjuster works in the field to assess vehicle damage, conduct on‑site inspections, and document losses. Key Responsibilities Assess vehicle damage and conduct on‑site inspections. Write repair estimates in accordance with company guidelines. Take detailed photographs of vehicle damage. Manage the full estimating process, including supplements and negotiations with repair facilities. Communicate clearly with customers and partners to ensure exceptional customer service. Evaluate settlement alternatives, review regulatory compliance, and make settlement decisions. Negotiate settlements and document settlements and payments. Document all activities in complex files across multiple lines. Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to policy content and regulations. Qualifications • Prior experience in an auto field appraisal or estimating role.

• Reside within a 10‑mile radius of ElSegundo, CA or Culver City, CA.
• Hands‑on experience with initial and supplemental estimates and repair negotiations.
• Proficiency in estimating software such as CCC, Audatex, or Mitchell (desired).
• Strong field assessment skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Compensation Base rates are: Field Adjuster Cons I: $26.49–37.50/hour Field Adjuster Cons II: $28.03–39.42/hour Field Adjuster Sr. Cons I: $35.82–45.58/hour Compensation may include incentive pay such as commission or bonus, if applicable. Licensing Requirements Applicants must not hold any active insurance or resident producer licenses during employment. Individuals currently holding an active license must terminate appointments prior to onboarding.
