Your Mission, Roles And Responsibilities Overall responsibilities and duties The Controls Engineer will provide controls and electrical engineering support to the assigned UAP cell and maintenance efforts. They will become an expert to assist maintenance in supporting the plant UAP through trouble shooting and problem‑solving methodologies. They will aim to eliminate down time and decrease quality defects to the customers. They will be required to write, create, and modify programs to meet the plant objectives. The Main Missions Of The Role Are Provide controls and manufacturing engineering support to assigned UAP areas and plant wide initiatives Provide support to the Quality Department and Quality Engineer as required Provide support to the Maintenance Department in equipment trouble shooting to reduce and eliminate downtime Review processes and procedures on an on‑going basis for safety, quality and production efficiency Assist in other UAP support as assigned Participate in Hoshin and Continuous Improvement events as assigned Participate as TS16949 and/or ISO 14001 Internal Audits as assigned Specific Responsibilities Coordinate with Maintenance to minimize down-time Maintain PFMEA and all downstream documents for minor changes Provide input into PFMEA generation for new programs Provide justification for standards changes QRQC’s – supporting quality for customer issues Provide and update parts drawing (mechanical and electrical) to maintenance Provide input into EO meetings 5‑S of plant Provide justification of major purchases for Core Group to manager Stay informed of environmental aspects Follow procedures and work to eliminate or reduce the PFMEA ratings as relates to position and/or department Stay informed of quality issues and opportunities related to position and/or department Follow procedures and corrective actions to eliminate or reduce PPM’s Complete all other duties and tasks as assigned management Your profile and competencies to succeed Qualifications Minimum education level: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Technical Discipline; or 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer. Experience Must have manufacturing experience Automotive Experience, preferably Autocad – electrical and mechanical; Allen Bradley software and programming experience Skills And Competencies Ability to troubleshoot PLC programs Experience leading and managing automation of a manufacturing process Knowledge and expertise on automation tools and machinery/technologies Cultivates Innovation Optimizes Work Processes Collaborates well with others Open‑mindedness, Drive, Accountability Excellent communications skills Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management What We Can Do For You At Forvia, you will find an engaging and dynamic environment where you can contribute to the development of sustainable mobility leading technologies.
