Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for night shifts in a Labor and Delivery unit. This role involves providing comprehensive maternal and neonatal care in a Baby Friendly Facility, with cross-training in nursery and GYN surgery.

Responsibilities:

Manage 1:1 patient care for laboring mothers, including inductions and postpartum care.
Perform and document hearing screenings and other required assessments independently.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for patient safety, clinical procedures, and emergency response.
Float to other units as needed, ensuring coverage and competency validation.
Adhere to all policies related to medication administration, charting, and special procedures such as LDRP care.
Follow hospital protocols and maintain patient safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

Hold a valid RN license in the state and required certifications, including ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate.
Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery.
Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC EMR and medication systems such as Omnicell.
Experience with 12-hour night shifts and cross-trained roles, including nursery and GYN surgery, is preferred.
Capable of working independently with strong clinical judgment and multitasking skills.
