Overview Physician for Women’s Health (PWH) is a proud affiliate of Women’s Health Connecticut. The practice provides obstetrical and gynecological care appropriate to the age of patients served. Candlewood Centre for Women’s Health, a division of PWH, is seeking a full‑time physician, MD, to support our OB/GYN practice in Danbury, CT. The current provider staffing includes six physicians, one physician assistant, and two nurse practitioners, sharing on‑call duties. The practice is affiliated with Danbury Hospital. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical examinations and compile patient medical data, including health history and examination results. Order or perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, and basic wound care. Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional issues, and health maintenance. Develop and implement patient management plans, follow hospitalized patients as appropriate, record progress notes, and assist in continuity of care. Gain competence in the Electronic Medical Record System. Submit billing at the time of office visit. Skills and Qualifications Experience in OB/GYN or Women’s Health. MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Board certified or board eligible. Connecticut license or the ability to obtain one. Federal and state controlled substance licenses. Eligible for hospital privileges. Effective verbal and written communication, listening, and customer‑service skills.
