Overview Physician for Women’s Health (PWH) is an affiliate of Women's Health Connecticut, providing obstetrical and gynecological care to patients of all ages. The practice operates within a supportive, collaborative community of more than 275 OB/GYN providers, committed to clinician satisfaction and a positive work environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical examinations and compile patient medical data including history and results of exams. Order or perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, and basic wound care. Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional issues, and health maintenance. Develop and implement patient management plans, follow hospitalized patients as appropriate, record progress notes, and assist in continuity of care. Gain competence in the Electronic Medical Record System. Submit billing at time of office visit. Skills/Qualifications Experience in OB/GYN or Women’s Health. MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Board certified or board eligible. Connecticut license or ability to obtain. Federal and state controlled substance licenses. Eligible for hospital privileges. Effective communication (verbal and written), listening, and customer service skills.
