JOB OVERVIEW

The Pre-owned Sales Manager at Mercedes-Benz of Orange County is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing the pre-owned sales operations. This role involves leadership, sales strategy development, team management, and ensuring exceptional customer experience. The Pre-owned Sales Manager plays a critical role in achieving sales targets, maximizing profitability, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.This is an opportunity for a proven leader with a strong track record in pre-owned operations to make an immediate impact within a fast-growing Mercedes-Benz Dealership.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee all aspects of the pre-owned sales department.
• Manage vehicle pricing, Staging and Inventory control, including monitoring website merchandising.
• Manage vehicle reconditioning and lease returns
• Desk deals, track gross, and ensure timely, compliant paperwork as per company standards.
• Create and organize all sales activities for the Used Car Sales division
• Must have working knowledge of auctions
• Must work with service department to keep all pre-owned inventory marketable
• Must work with advertising vendors to market cars (digital, and direct)
• Must work with and supervise Car Sales Associates to ensure individual and department sales goals are met
• Partner with the Financial Services department to develop and coordinate best practices for the most efficient and effective sales approach
• Assist Sales Consultants in closing sales as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Sales Leadership: Proven experience in a leadership role within the automotive sales industry, with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Product Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Mercedes-Benz vehicle models, features, specifications, and technology.
• Sales Experience: Substantial experience in automotive sales, with a thorough understanding of the used car sales process, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing deals.
• Team Management: Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop sales staff.
• Customer Focus: A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and a customer-centric approach from start to finish.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective team communication, customer interactions, and reporting.
• Sales Strategy: Proven ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies, adapt to market changes, and make data-driven decisions.
• Budget Management: Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis related to sales operations.
• Ethical Conduct: Uphold high ethical standards and integrity in all sales activities.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in using CRM software ADP/CDK,CRM ,ACV, vAuto, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and other sales and reporting tools.
• Market Knowledge: Stay informed about the local used car automotive market, competitors, and industry trends.
• Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor when dealing with customers, colleagues, management, ownership and the manufacture.

Compensation

• $150,000 to $225,000 per year depending on experience
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule
• Work Holidays and Weekends when required
