Senior Financial Analyst

Our client, a leading Sephora makeup brand, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team in Los Angeles, California on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days a week in-office). Reporting to the Finance Director, this role is ideal for an analytical, hands-on finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and enjoys partnering cross-functionally while helping build scalable financial processes. Job Duties Include Prepare recurring financial reports, KPI dashboards, and ad hoc analyses to provide actionable business insights. Analyze monthly financial performance, including budget-to-actual variances, and identify key trends and opportunities. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections, and long-term financial planning initiatives. Develop financial models and present data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Support the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, and variance analysis. Manage the company's travel and expense (T&E) program, including expense report audits and corporate credit card reconciliations. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and other business partners to drive financial initiatives. Assist with audits, tax filings, banking and financing activities, system implementations, and continuous process improvement efforts. Job Qualifications Include Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline. 4+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, accounting, consumer goods, or a related field. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas; experience with Power Query is a plus. Hands-on experience with ERP systems, with NetSuite experience strongly preferred. Strong financial modeling, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Experience working with large datasets and translating financial data into meaningful business insights. Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships. Salary: $95,000 base + bonus This role may also be eligible for additional compensation including incentive pay, discretionary bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package, details of which will be provided during the hiring process.
