Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Telemetry – North Carolina

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), 36 or 48-hour weekly contracts available. Contract lengths of 13-26 weeks offered. Weekend coverage required (4 weekend shifts per 4-week period). Floating as needed. No call required. Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6.

Highlights:

• Diverse cardiac patient population including atrial fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, endocarditis, cardiomyopathy, PVD, PAD, and various valve disorders
• Exposure to advanced cardiac and vascular procedures including CABG, TAVR, Mitral Clip, LAAO (Watchman), carotid endarterectomy, and post-electrophysiology care
• Work with specialized cardiac equipment including arterial lines, Doppler, EKG, femoral sheaths, TR bands, chest tubes, and epicardial pacing wires
• EPIC documentation system with Pyxis medication management
• 24-hour orientation program with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including rapid response teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and physical therapy
• 43-bed cardiac telemetry unit with daily census of approximately 41 patients

Requirements:

• Current RN license (North Carolina or Compact State license accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac nursing experience required
• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry/Step-down experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted if they meet the 2-year cardiac experience requirement
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and dysrhythmia management
• Experience with cardiac drips (titration preferred), sheath removal, and post-cardiac catheterization care
• Willingness to work holidays and participate in storm/hurricane response teams if needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
