Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM; 36 or 48-hour weekly contracts available; 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period

Highlights:

• Fast-paced cardiac telemetry unit specializing in congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, pacemaker/ICD implantations, and pre/post cardiac catheterization
• Manage cardiac drips including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine with titration responsibilities
• 13 to 26-week contract lengths available with flexibility for extended assignments
• Electronic Medical Records system: Epic; Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• 24 hours of paid orientation to ensure successful onboarding

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Telemetry, PCU, IMC, or Stepdown experience
• Demonstrated competency in EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia management (EKG testing required prior to start)
• Experience with cardiac drip management, central line care, sheath pulls, TR Bands, and Femstop procedures
• Willingness to float to other units as needed and work in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work required weekend shifts and participate in storm/hurricane team assignments during catastrophic events
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
