In this role, you will bring internal audit and financial services experiences to deliver audit assurance and to help innovate the function’s methods, tools, and assurance capabilities.What You'll DoExecute end-to-end audits across business and technology areas, from scoping through reporting and validationIdentify key risks and evaluate control design and effectiveness in a regulated financial environmentPartner cross-functionally to understand processes, challenge assumptions, and drive better risk outcomesTranslate audit findings into clear, actionable insights with practical mitigation strategiesUse data analytics and AI-enabled approaches to improve testing coverage, efficiency, and insight qualityMonitor and validate remediation efforts, ensuring issues are resolved sustainablyBuild deep understanding of products, systems, and emerging risks to strengthen audit impactIdentify opportunities to improve audit workflows, tools, and methodologiesAbout You1-2 years of Internal Audit or related experience, and bachelor’s degree in a related field; or equivalent experience Bachelor's degree in a related field; or equivalent work experienceYou take ownership of your work and follow through on outcomes in a fast-moving environmentYou apply strong judgment when assessing risks, testing controls, and making conclusionsYou communicate clearly and confidently, tailoring your message to different audiencesYou collaborate effectively and build trust across teams while maintaining independenceYou stay organized, prioritize well, and can handle multiple audits or assignments at onceYou are adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity and changeYou actively use AI tools embedded in the audit lifecycle to improve efficiency, consistency, and insight generationYou leverage tools that support audit execution, documentation, and learning to accelerate drafting, strengthen quality, and focus on risk-based judgmentYou use sound judgment when applying new tools, balancing speed with accuracy, compliance, and data sensitivityNice to HaveExperience in internal audit within a bank, broker-dealer, or financial services companyProfessional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CPA, CAMS, or CRCMExperience using data analytics or AI tools to support audit testing or insightsFamiliarity with regulatory expectations and control frameworks in financial servicesWork Location San Francisco or LehiThe above locations are eligible offices for this role. The locations have been determined to foster in-person collaboration with this role’s team or the related business lines. We utilize a hybrid work model, and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. In-person attendance is essential for this role’s success, and remote placement will not be considered. LendingClub offers relocation, based on actual job level. Time Zone Requirements Primarily PTWhile the position will primarily work local hours, LendingClub is headquartered in Pacific Time and our ideal candidate will be flexible working across time zones when necessary.Travel Requirements As needed travel to LendingClub offices and/or other locations, as needed. Compensation The target base salary range for this position is 66,000-103,000. The base salary of the role will be determined by job-related knowledge, experience, education, skills, and location. Base salary is just one part of LendingClub’s Total Rewards package.
