Medtronic is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sr. Software Tools Engineer to join our Cardiac Ablation Solutions Software team. In this role, you will play a critical part in enhancing and streamlining our software development, testing, and quality assurance processes. You will develop a variety of tools, scripts, and dashboards to support the team’s workflows, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and quality throughout the product development lifecycle. The Sr. Software Tools Engineer will be an integral member in the Cardiac Ablation Software Team, working on cutting-edge technology in the electrophysiology field. They will take ownership of key features while working collaboratively with other engineering teams and are passionate about working on a product that will have a positive impact on the lives of millions.**Primary Responsibilities*** Design, build, and maintain custom tools and scripts to support software development, testing, deployment, and maintenance processes.* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, quality assurance, and technical leaders, to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.* Identify opportunities to improve existing tools and processes, driving innovation and efficiency across the team.* Generate automated reports and test protocols that provide actionable insights into software performance and quality.**Required Qualifications*** Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience* OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience* OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience**Preferred Qualifications*** Knowledge of Medical device software development, IEC-62304 and FDA guidance in a technical discipline, preferably software related* Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.* Experience working with tools like JIRA, Gitlab, Artifactory, and AWS, including API integration and automation.* Proficient in programming languages such as Flutter/Dart, Python, C++/C# or similar languages* Strong understanding of good documentation practices* Experience with software version control systems, such as Git* Experience with Docker and Linux* Experience with Agile development* Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial drive* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.* Strong communication skills, both written and verbalAfferaswfy27 **#LI-MDT**For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.**Physical Job Requirements**The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
