Key Responsibilities\n

\n
• Interpret physician referrals and select appropriate standardized evaluation procedures
\n
• Evaluate patients in areas including independent living skills, occupational performance, prevocational work adjustment, educational skills, play-leisure abilities, social skills, and psychosocial skills
\n
• Develop individualized treatment plans with short and long term goals, frequency, and duration of treatment
\n
• Assist patients through design and fabrication of adaptive equipment, orthotic devices, joint protection techniques, and body mechanics instruction
\n
• Inform patients and families of goals and progress, and assist with discharge planning including equipment ordering and home therapy instruction
\n
• May supervise occupational therapy students
\n

Required Qualifications\n

\n
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
\n
• Current license from the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as an Occupational Therapist
\n
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire
\n
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of professional occupational therapy, including materials and supplies utilized in treatment programs
\n
• Ability to interpret prescriptions related to therapy and communicate instructions and technical information to patients
\n
• Basic computer skills and strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff
\n
